  • Pleasureable Driving Experience? - 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid
    By -

Absolutely! In todays hustle-n- bustle world, never thought it possible, to actually look forward to getting behind the wheel! 97 Accord served me well for 13 years, but I was ready to give Ford a go. Thus far, am extremely happy. The rides head-n-shoulders more comfortable/enjoyable than the Accord. Awesome economy; improving daily w/experience. Exceeding 40 MPG combined, and rising, doubling the Accord. Technologys there to achieve awesome results, yet with slightly practiced driving discipline, happiness prevails. Fun to drive: can improve, when not pushed by over-aggressive motorists. Build quality/reliability: too early for an accurate assessment, happy so far.

  • Great car! - 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid

I spent about 1 month trying to figure out what is the best car for me. After selling my 2005 VW Touareg I was looking at similar cars. But then I saw Ford Fusion and decided take a test drive. What a fun ride it was! Ford engineers put a lot of thoughts into this car and it is designed similar or even better then some European models. So finally I went to a SF dealer and made a deal for a Ford Fusion Hybrid black/black with package 502A. Its full of fun features and fun to ride. Black leather with white stitching looks awesome. Navigation and SYNC are amazing. I can even watch DVD movie using navigation screen (only when parked). So when I herd that Ford beats Camry Hybrid - now I see why

  • Im very happy with it - 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid

I previously owned an 00 cirrus (18 mpg) and with the FFH (501A) Im getting exactly 38-41 mpg with moderately conservative driving in the hilly Boston areas over 1700 miles of driving. I got a 6.6% discount on MSRP. There is a small delay when immediate torque is requested (when compared to a small displacement V6), but acceleration is adequate. I think the FF 09 body style was sexier but 10 is not ugly. My experience on the HWY is more than 36MPG (more like 36-42 mpg) Im very happy and expect to keep driving this car for the next 10 years.

  • Fun To Drive Hybrid, Did Not Get The BMW - 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid
    By -

We are on our third week with the FFH and love it, so does my wife who drives a BMW. I was on my way to writing a $50K check for a new BMW for me when I saw and test drove the FFH. The handling is great and the technology well thought out, and I saved about $20K over my other choice. We just did a 1 week drive (>1000) vacation within NYS and averaged well over 37 mpg, with some short trip topping over 50 mpg when mostly on EV. The Sync system is great although I had to purchase a new phone because my old one didnt sync with it. My wife who loves maps and directs our drive trips loves the Nav system. It found the backwoods cottage we rented in the Catskills without a hitch. Great car!

  • 3,500 miles - ENGINE WONT START - 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid
    By -

Loved this car for exactly 2 months. First new car in 10 years and loved all the upgraded accessories - navigation, SYNC, smart gages. Was averaging >40 mpg combined. One day, it just would not start (the green light wouldnt come on). All other lights were on but the engine would not start. As of today, its been in the Ford service shop for 30 days! They cannot figure out what is wrong. Its incredible that Ford would put this car on the market with this type of hidden defect and without having service mechanics (including corporate mechanical and hybrid experts) able to diagnose the problem. Ford customer service has been unresponsive. Buyers beware of the Ford Fusion Hybrid.

  • Love This Car - 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid

502A package. Had 2 weeks. Joy to drive. First hybrid Ive owned but have driven a Prius rental. Chose Ford to buy because of style and roomier interior. The lower mileage was a good trade-off for me. Playing the "mileage" game has changed my driving habits quite a bit. This car is incredibly quite and fun to drive so I dont mind cranking up the Sony stereo and driving slower. No hurray any more. Finding that my mpg keeps improving. Up to 40-44 pmg in moderate city traffic. Driving style impacts mpg a lot so heavy footed drivers may be disappointed. Seat support/adjustments with adjustable steering wheel make for a comfortable ride.

  • Happy so far - 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid
    By -

Rides well, very comfortable. Not much different than a non-hybrid. The dash display is helpful and not distracting. Have driven approximately 100 miles and averaging about 35 mpg (mostly city driving). Only problem has been with the SYNC- it wont recognize my ipod- so back to the dealer. Overall very happy after the first few days of ownership.

  • Love my FFH! - 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid

Ive only had my FFH for a few days but its easily the best car Ive ever driven. So far Im averaging about 40 mpg but Im improving that figure nearly everytime I drive. The SmartGauge display is very informative! I find myself striving to beat my MPG average using the leaves and MPG graph as a guide. This is a fun car to drive and SYNC is awesome! Its definitely a high tech car and Ford put a lot of thought into designing the features. I love BLIS and the back up camera as well. Great job!

  • my 1st ford in 35 yrs - 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid

this car is better than what we expected from all we read about it. cant see buying foreign cars after driving this one. The price is fair and the ride is second to none and handles well with plenty of power for a hybrid. The vision is great. The mileage is better than advertised. It came standard with so many extras. Unlike the prius this car is good looking inside and out which sold my wife. This car will put ford back on the map as a real serious contender.

  • Absolutely the best car Ive ever owned - 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid
    By -

Im currently sitting at 110,527 miles on my 2010 Fusion Hybrid, all black and fully loaded. I couldnt be happier with a car, compared to my previous jalopy. I average 42 - 48mpg in Spring, Summer(depending on AC use) and Fall. In Winter, its closer to 33 - 35mpg, depending on how cold it is. Ive had zero trips to the dealer for repairs as nothing has failed in this vehicle. Its been scheduled maintenance all the way, combined with stellar MPG = very low cost. I bought this car one year used. Technology wise, its held up very well to what new models have. I have the blind spot sensors, backup camera(using a large 8" screen), parking aid, cross traffic sensing, USB/Bluetooth/Aux/ect. I really cant complain about this car one bit. I believe I lucked out to be at this mileage with no issues. I write this review as I finally have performed all of my 100k maintenance a little late(things just dont wear out in this ride). My brake pads werent even wore out at 100k miles. The high voltage battery appears to be very healthy as I havent experienced any deterioration yet in MPG. Acceleration and driving a hybrid in general takes some training to maximize efficiency. Its sort of weird to not feel gear shifting, but you quickly adjust to it. Its rather zippy too for a hybrid. Id love to trade up in 2017 for the next redesign, but I have a very difficult time of letting go of a good thing. Needless to say, I highly recommend this car. No, it doesnt get Prius MPG, but I prefer its styling, tech and driving over the Prius any day. If you just want a dependable car, this is it.
